In Response To: Climate? (Loren Petrich)

Actually--as I said in the ill-fated analysis I did in the archives--the *worst* time is when Soell is in Halo's rotational plane. The entire Halo is dark then; the near-Soell side is facing away from Soell, and the far side is in the near side's shadow. When Soell is just above or below the plane, the near side's shadow covers part of the "north" or "south" halves of the far side, which might make the north warmer or cooler than the south (I'm not sure if it lasts long enough to make a perceptible climactic difference).
