If you are making it so your thinking will be altered, and your thoughts and emotions would be controlled, I could see getting volenteers to be a problem. Or if the changes to your body are so great that your just a brain in a metal tank, it could also be a problem... But, lets compare the life spans of the average human marine, and the average cyborg marine. I think we can rightfully asume that the cyborg marine would last much longer and fight much better. So, an insentive to becoming a cyborg could simply be life itself... heh. Heck, if the marathon cyborgs didn't age, theres another reason. Anyways, there are drawbacks to both... But if I were given the choice to be a standard human grunt and having a verry short life expectancy on the battle field, or becomming a cyborg and having my abilities and armor greatly enhanced, I think I would choose being a cyborg. Again, it may varry. If a cyborg had implaints where officers or AI could directly controll you, or your emotions or thoughts were or could be altered, I think I would choose being human.
