Could it be a fake???

While perusing the screenshots page, and I came to the picture "Halo04gross" <http://halo.bungie.org/screens/Halo04gross.jpg and while examining the "husk" area, it just doesn't look that is suppose to be there. I'll tell you why I think this:
Where it is located is on a texture curvature and the text is flat with no warping of the text.
It should also be pointed slightly downward because of its locating on the shoulder plate.
It seems to stand out a little too much on the image also.
