I've been thinking about this some more and reading about the astronomical device described on the page. The positions of the hands on each "planet clock" are probably arbitrary. Where the hands faced during the pictures would all depend on when the pictures were taken. So, unless the puzzle's creator was looking at this exact page, I don't think the hand positions can be relevant to our solution. Still, this was a pretty cool find.
