: Here's an interesting thing about the fusion gun's ammo: In the manual, the
: fusion batteries are referred to as "Deuterioxide Halogen Battery
: Packs"
: Apparently irl laser induced fusion experiments use
: deuterium(hydrogen2)+fluorine(a halogen) reaction lasers to bring hydrogen
: to appropriate temperatures for fusion.
: The batteries probably contain the reaction components (H and F) and the
: fusion substance (more H) in a safe and stable container.
Interesting find, thanks! Although deuteroxide is not just deuterium, it is 2HO, which would react with the fluorine into Fx2HOy for some x and y I don't want to bother calculating right now.
Storing those side by side in a battery seems extremely dangerous. Shooting at a fusion battery should cause quite an explosion unless they are ridiculously durable and just shrug off bullets.
Also this still doesn't tell us what exactly a fusion pistol shoots. (For that matter, what do all the Pfhorish energy weapons shoot? The staff bolts look electric, maybe they all employ the same exotic state of matter as their non-burning energy projectiles).
