We're all very familiar with those mods. And I'm wondering if we're getting diminishing marginal returns by continuing to look at the most popular ones.
I think it would be more interesting if you looked into less well known mods, even unfinished ones.
I think Return to Marathon has some interesting things to talk about even though it was never finished.
And Marathon: Apotheosis is really good. Although unfinished I consider it technically complete (all the maps seemed to be complete, at least). It is a quality scenario and has new enemy sprites, including a new alien race whose visual design I like a lot.
