Coincidence, or something more? 'Waiting for Godot', a play by Samuel Beckett, is about two characters, Vladimir and Estragon, who vainly await the arrival of some character named 'Godot', who never actually appears. The play premiered on 5 January, 1953, and was originally written in French.
