Marathon Infinity chapter screens

Marathon Infinity chapter screens

I have played Marathon for years and in the Infinity chapter screens/cutscenes I have some things I'd like to look at:
Prologue: In it it shows some headless(?) body under sand.
-What is it?
-Who is it?
-What does it have to do with the story?
Despair: This CS (Chapter screen) shows buildings.
-Are they human buildings?
-Why does it show buildings if in this level you're in a Pfhor ship?
Rage: This one shows similar buildings plus an armord guy with a big gun.
-Is he the player?
-Why does he have different armour?
-What's he doing on top of a building?
Envy: This one shows the buildings in the "Despair" Chapter and it also shows a guy with rusted armour sitting beside a wall.
-Is the guy the player?
-Why is his armour different and rusted?
-Whats with this scene if it doesn't happen during the game?
And so that's what I felt like pointing out.
