The callbacks for apps running inside the Classic would inflate massively. The overhead would basically kill performance deader than a minor Fighter that's been hit by a SPNKr. While it would be possible, Apple have evidently decided to sidestep the complaints, and I can't blame them. Their position is that OSX has been available for long enough that you really *should* have migrated fully by now. While that is cruel to some extent, there is a solid business case behind it.
