: I've been having problems lately with Forge, and while I managed to get
: around them for a while it's suddenly gotten worse.
I remember this coming up under an earlier thread..."catastrophic memory leak in Classic OS...?" I haven't been logging any hours with Forge lately, but will be putting in some serious time ASAP. The WMaiD team have welcomed me into their project, and I've got a level deadline for the end of next month.
The problems Adam describes are exactly those I've experienced in the past. I've never used Aleph Forge (didn't know there was such a thing), only the latest Bungie version (1.0.4). The only new info I can add to Adam's description is that at one point, while texturing a map, the jumpiness ceased. I remember this occuring when I'd finally covered the last bit of untextured wall space. I can't remember if the jumps stopped immediately after applying that last bit of texture (i.e., while I was in visual mode), or if I had to go back into draw mode first. What I don't remember is if the jumps stayed gone afterwards. I'll go back into that map and see what's what.
Like Adam, I'm on a newer machine (1.2Ghz G4 iBook) but my memory isn't as beefy (only 256MB of RAM). Has anyone on an older machine ever experienced this sort of problem?
