I don't think it ever will be made, to any of our specifications. Unless... Unless one actually does that thing we dream but dare not. Get up, get busy and does it oneself. Like the old axiom "if you want something done, do it yourself". It hold true in this case. You could throw together a few tantalizing shorts. All you need is a marathonesque backdrop, a great voice, a replica marine suit and a guy to fill it. One thing though, if I made the movie, I'd cover up the marine's face, somehow, escpecially if he is to be having his "long walks in hard vacuum".
The lower part of his face would be too personal out of the game. In the game, you can't make out the marine's face bacause it consists of, like, 20 pixels. On screen, it would be different, and as everyone has their own idea of what he looks like. But maybe that's a bad idea. I guess it would be harder to sympathize and identify with him if he is just a faceless battlesuit...

If people stood up, and walked out because they were bored or disappointed, I would be happy, so long as the Marathoners were sitting transfixed with constant chills...
