First off, Goran, yes you are an awesome mapmaker and you have a right to say so. I'm not one to tell people not to toot their own horn. However, it is to be expected in this and most cultures that people will frown upon that and think you arrogant for it. For some reason society doesn't like people thinking highly of themselves. Go figure. Anyway, the offer to write mapmaking tutorials is a generous one.
Next, Me_43 has a point that there are still boundaries that can be pushed and new tricks to come up with and exploit (I really wanted to see what you could do with the uber-5D space bridges concept we were discussing for Eternal X chapter 2). He, however, came off as one of the above-mentioned counter-arrogant "you're not so hot, so stop tooting your own horn" people mentioned above, which is in itself a sort of arrogance.
And the replies from both of you have just gotten worse ever since.
Me_43, I'm sure we all appreciate the work that's gone into Engine Zero, and I'm certainly eager to see where it goes. But don't think that you're in some sort of exceptional position though - at 16 you have more time now than you probably ever will until you retire. I'm presently in college full time, working full time, maintaining a social life with friends and a girlfriend, and working on several personal projects (Eternal, a story I've been writing for years, and my philosophy book) all the same time, while trying to move into a new house and apply to a new school and get all my dental work finished.
So... I lost my point. But you're both doing good things for all of us, you can both stand to improve in some areas, you both need to get along with each other better and use more careful language, and you're both still welcome here. Please, both of you stay and try to get along. This community doesn't need any more fractures.
