: Actually, the Vash's gun is based off a real gun. The barrel is placed down
: the midline of the gun, so that when you fire the barrel is centered in
: front of your hand, rather than above it, so you have reduced recoil. It's
: a mix of a modifed .45 long Colt (extended barrel, uses higher power .45
: bullets) and some kind of newer revolver with the barrel placed lower
: (can't remember the name). If I can find a picture of the real gun it'll
: explain what i mean better.
While I was looking around for pictures, I found out its not called "auto-cycling", its called "double-action".

Apparently, this gun (the Mateba) was also used in Ghost in the Shell. I didn't realize the thing was a real friggin' gun...kick ass!
