: I also found it easier than seems to have been intended - the 'you
: survived against all odds' sentiment of the congrats terminal didn't
: really feel appropriate.

My point exactly - hardly what I would expect of a final level, particularly after the last three. Should there ever be a version 3.0, I would recommend scrapping this one altogether.

: As for EMR, waiting a bit is probably the way to go - I'll finish 2.1 and
: then go for the new 3 beta when it comes I guess, in the meantime.

I'm surprised you never played EMR before. It's one of the classics. I'll admit, the first time I started it, I though, 'this isn't Marathon!" and I thought the sprites to be a bit crude. It's a very inovative scenario, however, and well worth the time. Just be aware that 2.0 doesn't work with AO and 2.1 may have similar problems. For one thing, the black knight's sward, which should cost you a half a shield, doesn't cause any damage at all. This makes taking out Mordred way to easy. For another thing, there is a point where you need to insert a key card to proceed - this didn't work with 2.0, forcing me to cheat to work around it. Good luck!
