In M2 we're pretty much exploring Lh'owon and searching for an ancient lost weapon. and since we're on a planet with oxygen and gravity, I think it would be useless to have vacum Bobs running around on Lh'owon. They'd look silly, unless they were on lava levels and were wearing something else, like a thermo jacket or something.
And in infinity when we switch timelines, since Durandal is in more trouble than in M2, he probably had the S'Pht mass produce fusion pistols faster and armoured the Bobs so he could build a better battle front.
I don't think I saw that many pistol Bobs on the Jjaro station, and I didn't pay too much attention to them when they were on Lh'owon. I must be crazy...
