: I still think they're separate universes Forrest. I'm even taking the
: perspective that the 'Elites' species ("Sangheili") in the
: Marathon timeline is the Nahk. Different events in time produce wildly
: different outcomes.
Well, by the originally connected Marathon-Halo universe, it's pretty obvious the Elites, being the core of the Covenant, would have been the Pfhor.
: Forrest - I know the pains of revising a scenario. On my end, I'm doing it
: because I want to - and not because story line changes demand it. Someone
: once told me a scenario has to stand alone, and not be at the whims of
: other elements out there. Good advice - particularly since any revisions
: to Marathon works (for me anyhow) mean an additional 1 year delay in
: releasing it. : p
Ironically, I think that someone was me. And yeah, I should know better than to even contemplate such a thing... I always get down to "Just this last chapter!" before Eternal dies of atrophy (or apathy), and then before I can revive it again I have to go and revise the whole story again...
On a semi-related note, it just occurred to me tonight that whenver I think of Eternal Chapter 5 levels in my head (the unmade ones, that I'm thinking about the layout of), I'm envisioning them in the Halo engine. I'm probably setting myself up for a world of hurt, but... is there any way to make single-player Halo levels? Maybe an Eternal port to Halo would be feasible. Much better for my portfolio, too...
