Marathon Symbol (possible Risk of Rain 2 spoilers)

I was messing around in Risk of Rain 2 (fantastic game, btw) and, for the first time, chanced to take a close look at this particular obelisk, which I’d visited before but never really examined up close. Is anything oddly familiar to you? As if it were from an old dream? Perhaps you can’t exactly remember.

It might just be coincidental (there are several things it could be intended to symbolise), but it's awfully uncanny.
(Those familiar with RoR2 may be able to spot several unusual things about this screenshot. I’ll abstain from mentioning them all up front and spoiling everyone’s fun, but if anyone is curious, I can explain some of them.)
