No, on OSX, PID's CD version is fully ported to the new operating system. You only need an emulator to play it if your physical machine is Windows or Linux but since we have PID Aleph One and I have my physical Mac on top of that, I don't need my Mac emulator anymore.
The only problem I could find with the OSX port is that the dialog for the German solider in the gold vault glitches out: it doesn't display any further responses and never goes away if you try to type most of his keywords, such as asking about Muller.
The A1 engine port doesn't have this issue as the dialog system is handled differently (meaning that only the keyword counts and not a sentence that contains it). You can't drop anything in the A1 port except the Alien Gemstone though.
