Oh God yes. I remember the first time I managed to survive that room and get to the terminal ... and then die. I thought it was a one-off thing, so it is good to know it was not just me.
Of course if we fixed it so the WaMiD terminals behaved the same as the other dream level ones, it wouldn't be a level we'd necessarily visit as much. But really. Thing What Kicks... especially is so much better with the SPNKR that AMS affords you, I'm not sure I've ever finished a playthrough without visiting it.
