Rubicon: Frog Blasting

Rubicon: Frog Blasting

Can anyone offer a proper walkthrough for this level? When I gave up trying to find out where to go, and looked up the level in the spoiler guide, it just says "2 a to c (on the map) is the shortest route to step 4" (the switch that lowers the swamp water).
Shortest route my ass! I spent an hour wandering the same starting corridors and that circular deathtrap with the drones, X1 shield and oxygen in it and with no Pattern Buffer, trying to figure out where the rooms the map was referring to were and only running into locked doors, unreachable windows and being constantly hounded by those f-Blam!-ing flying mines.
The spoiler guide is useless and the only video Let's plays of the mod I've noticed on youtube are crap.
Can the anyone on the Story forum offer real help please?
