Admittedly, while that wasn't the route I went down with the Jjaro, that does make a lot of sense.
On that note--I'm not sure exactly how Durandal and Thoth's merging is carried out in-game, but I'm pretty certain that it's one thing that led to me headcanon-ing the Security Officer as a hacker/programming expert. He'd have to be, if he successfully merged a human-coded AI with a Jjaro-made one.
