She is called Tailmon in the original but Bandai changed it to "Gatomon" in the dub because "Gato" means "cat".
And of course, "Digivolving" is simply Evolution in the original as well but the dub called it "Digivolve" to avoid confusion with the shit Pokémon franchise that was all the rage back then.
And yeah, the dub's different names applied to the UK too.
They correctly call the ex Digimon Kaiser by his real name Ichijouji Ken, but they got Hikari's name wrong by leaving out the first two letters, much like how they were too racist to pronounce Takeru's name and shortened it to "TK".
It's a pity too because all anime dubs end up crappier than the Japanese original; of which you can just watch with English subtitles. 4kids or "4shits" as I call them now who dubbed Sonic X are the LJN of anime and Bandai may be very similar.
I remember the Digimon Adventure and 02 dubs being awesome but considering it aired on "Fox kids", that may be a warning sign.
The only dub I've seen that's just as perfect as the source material is Hellsing.
