No kidding about the mayhem thing. The Mystics haven't explicitly done anything at *all* except be the butt monkeys.
I suppose the implication was supposed to be that the Mystics were the masterminds behind the original Tau Ceti attack. Still, though, ruining their whole homeworld by messing with its moon... that's just shitty.
