We have seen them, they just looked like S'pht'Kr because of the texture pack.
They show up soon.

I'm not even sure it's supposed to be. Merely by volume, plot-driven cutscenes barely exist in Destiny compared to Halo. Destiny doesn't really have a story. It has a setting.
