It's an early draft of "Try again" by Jay Faircloth. He sent it in to the Story page along with the final version many years ago. Details about the pic can be found at:
http://marathon.bungie.org/story/Jay_Faircloth_art.html
The final version of the pic was used for a number of years as a place holder for the Story page at Marathon Central. Clicking on the image brought you to the Story page at bungie.org
