: I should correct you on that. For me, IIHARL... is one of those levels
: where you have to do a lot with a little. Two Shotguns and less than 60
: shells? Sure I can blow those Troopers and Hunters away, but by the time
: the first door even opens, I usually have used up a great majority of the
: Shotgun ammo provided to me.
When you are teleported into the mayhem, there are two item triggers, one towards the closest trooper ledge, and one on the other side towards the farther trooper ledges. I forgot what the second one does, but the first one will trigger a lot more shotgun shells to teleport in as needed. This will give you enough shotgun shells to survive.
: They don't even give you an Assault Rifle, much less a Fusion Pistol!
If you are trying to vid the level, then the area past the first door filled with all the Hunters and Troopers is the toughest part of the level. I probably need to improve my skills, but I very often die here, and I agree---an assault rifle here would be most welcome.
: Now put Sorry Don't Make It So on the end (which
: has nothing more than Alien Weapons and a Flamethrower), and you'll be
: Begging For Mercy . ;)
Yeah, the Durandal levels are tough. I used to dread them when I first played them a long time ago. These days, "Rocket Launcher" and "Begging for Mercy" are reasonably fun because of the ammo, but the middle two are still a pain.
