Now that I think about it, the Looker part could just be the result of me playing on Major Damage rather than Normal: partly why they're probably so annoying now is that they're faster (on harder difficulties), making it much harder to kill them before they get within range to hurt you. As for the Simulacrums, I'm not sure.
