This isn't a secret room - the door is quite visible to your left when facing the terminal that teleports you to the barricaded area.
But there is a second secret that you didn't mention. It involves swimming, several Flickta, an elevator, a ledge and a nice ammo stash. Oh, and be careful you don't get caught in the drain - hard to get out of there.
