: This was tested from a scratch start each time. I'm going to guess that this is purely a result of whatever unique, long ago engrained approach you use for this level. Yes, it is possible when I play Pfhoraphobia to get the compilers up into the corridor before taking a pot shot at the Pfhor cyber-controller, but only if: 1) When I spring the monster closet "surprise," I have moved down the trap corridor far enough for throne room Enforcers to see the top of my head. When the Enforcers activate, so do the Compilers and up they come. Or,... 2) If some of the Pfhor go berserk from Enforcer fire and all hell breaks loose at the end of the corridor closest to the throne room (a reasonably common occurrence). Or,... 3) I have not made a vid start, and thus have some goddamn guns, and decide to make a stand at the back of the secondary corridor branching off the trap corridor. This last approach guarantees the Compiler's will fly up to join the fun. In my experience, barring any of these three events, the Compilers stay put until I appear at the edge of the pit to take my potshot at the cyber-controller. I have noticed no difference between betas two and three in this regard.
