No Artificial Colors is an odd Frankenstein-like level. Created by Tuncer Deniz and tweaked by Greg Kirkpatrick. Tuncer wasn't a Bungie employee at the time, just a good friend and editor of Inside Mac Games. A regular visitor at the Bungie office, he filmed the Marathon Home Videos. Now before you think he was simply given a crash course in Vulcan and let loose on a solo level, he did create one of the best Marathon net levels ever - Waldo World Arena. Indeed, he created a total of three levels for the game, yet isn't credited in the application credits, and he only merits a special thanks in the Marathon manual. I can only presume he wanted it that way.
So back to testing. The only real difference I can find between the beta and original game is that in the beta the player can open the door to the Bob room while still behind the half open door. This is where the 3x recharger is located. In the original game you can stand at the half open door and use the 3x recharger but not open the Bob room door with the action key. In the beta you can.
