: Immediately after rounding the first corner, you'll be greeted with two of
: these dudes. They are certainly more annoying than any of the other
: enemies, and can pose a real threat if you're not careful (particularly
: the greenish-looking ones, who are much more aggressive and harder to
: kill), but with a quick application of Grenades, you can dispose of them
: easily. If you're scratch-starting, though, your best weapon against the
: first ones you meet is probably the Pistol, as they're quite likely to
: deal some damage to you in between punches if you're using the Fists. So
: long as you don't kill them with a Flamethrower (or by dropping them into
: harmful lava or goo), they'll drop a nice little gift that, despite
: lacking an official name besides the Alien Weapon, is often called the
: Scatter Rifle (if my memory serves me correctly). It's so called because,
: despite being slightly more accurate than the Assault Rifle, it fires
: bazillions of little (but very powerful) pellets all in a horizontal line
: in front of you. This ability, combined with the sheer power of each
: projectile, makes it an incredibly deadly weapon in close-quarters and
: especially in corridors.
Do the enforcers drop their weapons even if we grenade/SPNKR them down in M1? I forget even though it was only a couple of weeks ago I played through ... they certainly don't in M2/Moo though, so just fact checking here :).
I've pretty much forgotten what blue enforcers look like lol, and the idea of taking the magnum to the green ones really makes me not want to try vidding/scratchstarting this one!
Good to read that M1A1 was too strict with the exploration, I certainly found it annoying last run.
Re that secret room, I thought you used to be able to flame/alien weapon your way up that slime stream in M1 with low gravity, does that work in A1? I have this vague memory that it didn't used to.
And finally, this level will stay with us for a long time, recurring as if from an old dream....
