In Response To: Tour of Duty - Shake Before Using... (PerseusSpartacus)

: Now it's time to save up. Speaking of which, Pattern Buffers are kind of the
: oddest feature of the Marathon Story. I mean, for starters, what do they
: do?

According to the Marathon manual they store your complete biochemoelectrical pattern for later retrieval.

They also store your future memories, i.e. all events post-storage prior to death. All down to the excellent 7G service onboard the Marathon.

As they say in Marathon 2... Handy, eh?

Cheers
Hamish
