Good point. I always thought FTL took time, never that it was instantaneous. After all, FTL is a speed (albeit a non-specific one). If we could move instantly to any point, that would suggest infinite speed, meaning it would be nigh-impossible to specify a location to go to, as we would usually overshoot by an infinite amount. Maybe I'm missing something, but the logic makes sense to me. : Or... perhaps I've watched too much Battlestar Galactica. :) Somebody has, for sure. And someone has probably watched too much Star Trek. And another has watched too much Red vs Blue. And another has watched too much Star Wars (though in my opinion the limit on Star Wars is 1 film; any more and you've watched too much - it's that bad).
