The only relatable info I have is that a "Marathon" project should be developed by part of the Bungie crew (7% of the employees, if I'm not mistaken), apparently it has a decent budget, but that's all there is. It's on their Bungie-Activision Contract.
Apart from that, well, there's also a Marathon symbol (Not the new Reclaimer Symbol) in a Spartan Ops Mission for Halo 4. It's not a coincidence, but I'm unsure whether this was meant to be related to something else, or just a sign (Still trying to find something).
Then there's the whole Theory about the Security Officer escaping the closure of the Universe and/or becoming The Traveler in Bungie's "Destiny", which has been discussed earlier.
