That sounds more like the 7-Minute-How-We-Came-Up-With-Marathon-Infinity.
"No, really, multiple universes. So each new level is a new universe, and you have to jump around, and never know who you're fighting, it'll be great!"
"Great in theory, how can we weave all that together? It'll end up like a series of fan-made levels mashed together."
"Did I mention that we could have the player travel back to some of the older universes a few times? You know, to tie it all together."
"Oh, like we can recycle the old levels so we don't have to make so many new ones? Hey maybe this could work..."
