In Response To: Re: xbox live and halo (Matt)
If you get asked that question *so* many times, why doesn't Bungie give in and actually supply the market with what it demands? I love Bungie and the games it makes, but seriously, give the customer what it wants. You guys have created a nearly perfect game (the only reason it is not actually perfect is because it does not have a *good* online option). Why ignore it?
If I have to hear someone say, "BECAUSE WE WANT HALO 2 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!" I will be very upset. Halo is a game I will be playing for a very, very long time. How the hell do I know if I'm going to like Halo 2 better? I don't, but I do know I love playing Halo over the Internet (despite the lag and usability issues with tunnels). Think of all the games you've loved or movies you've seen where the sequels could simply not recreate the joy of the former. Heck, I liked playing Myth more than Myth II. I'm not saying Halo 2 is going to suck, but I'm a little worried the skill aspect may be diluted by the addition of loads of features and eye-candy. (Replayability is EVERYTHING)
Bungie fanboys, do not reply. I have owned almost every Bungie game since Marathon and I am greatly disappointed that the company has such a stubborn stance regarding Xbox Live. Devoting resources to Halo 2 is not a good enough excuse for this loyal customer.
