Just got the first of two Hornet models that I ordered from Shapeways! This one is gray plastic, and I am very pleased. :) Click the picture to go the imgur album of all the pictures:
The surface quality is pretty good overall, and the only 'delicate' part is the center-line skid-gear. I may update the Shapeways model to make that part a little more robust, but it's perfectly fine as-is. I honestly don't know exactly what I'm going to DO with it, but it's just so fun I couldn't resist. I'll probably take it to work and display it alongside the rest of my "real" airplane models. :-D Enjoy! Click here to get your own plastic Hornet! The second one I ordered in Stainless-Steel had a problem with the model, so I had to fix some stuff and re-order it, but everything should be good and I'll update y'all when it arrives too.
