In Response To: Favorite campaign? Mine's ODST (Spec ops Grunt) My favorite, without a nostalgic bias, is Halo 2. Sure, it wasn't the game that Bungie wanted it to be, but damn it was risky sequel. And it seems like, to me anyways, that Halo 2 defined the rest of the Halo series. I was just a small kid when Combat Evolved came out, but I remember Halo 2 as the game that really piqued my interest in the Halo Universe. Prior to that, I was just playing CE because it was. I didn't really care to know the Covenant, the UNSC, or the Forerunners (though the Flood did inspire questions). Halo 3 used to be my favorite. It's weird, but I just get bored if I go back and play Halo 3 again. According to B.net, I've actually played MORE of the Reach campaign than I have of Halo 3. But I still love going into Reach. It's just such a fun game. I love all the Halo campaigns on a pretty equal level for different things. Yes, Halo Wars has a place in my heart too. Yeah, the story was kinda dodgy, and the characters were flatter than paper, but it's a fun departure from the FPS action of the trilogy. And the artists at Ensemble actually did a pretty damn good job of replicating assets from the Halo Universe (not a huge fan of the Mark IV, but otherwise, it's good stuff). Plus, I think the a lot of the vehicles they introduced are actually quite cool; especially the Covenant ones. I still really want to drive a Locust! :D
