Tomorrow's Monday isn't it? But don't fret, Cortana has you covered with lots of pretty pictures and a nice long video to help you forget those soon to be Monday woes.
Friday was of course Community Customs Night again. I got lots and lots of pictures so no long intro this week.
The night kicked off with Invasion on Bones' Hushed Apprentice. Humans were on the offensive and started by storming the beach on the island.
Red Team stuck together
But so did Blue Team.
It was quite the game, and despite Red Team's best efforts, Blue Team captured the core.
Second was the infamous Ride of the Valkyries on Sangheili Don't Surf by BlueRunner. Humans started in the coliseum with Falcons and had to capture various points on the island.
This game had an interesting start....
Triple betrayal
For some reason the 2nd phase proved to be the craziest for both teams and there were several epic struggles that ended with explosions.
My awesome piloting skills proved that it is indeed possible to fly the Falcon upside down....
Tie Game.
Game 3. Rent-a-car on Crash-up Derby. A king of the kill variant in which the main goal was to survive. Easier said then done.
Those that died respawned in jail.
Onto 4. Braveheart on Troy World by Chris101b. A team slayer variant set in the canyon where you had swords, infinite sprint, no shields and one life per round.
Red team
Blue team
My team tried just staying the the corner....didn't work too well.
Blue team broke up our little group and took the win.
Game 5. Infection on Oblivious. A simple infection gametype where the zombies drop from the ceiling. Most of the time the Humans just goof off while waiting for the zombies to attack.
This week we discovered what happens when more than 10 people have drop shield at the same time.
Group shots.
Bones had this one coming....
Tried getting out again.....but on the wrong side.
Last Man Standing never lasted long.
What am I on? Game 6. Battle Royal on Island by Postmortem. Slayer where you start with a single weapon, infinite sprint, no motion tracker and your shields don't recharge. The map took up most of forge world with the exception of the pillar and coliseum.
Somehow I managed to get stuck and didn't see much action.
I had to chill there until Bones ended me.
BlueRunner managed to get stuck between a rock and a hard place....quite literally.
Zoomed out.
Bones took the game.
Lucky number 7. Party, Party, Party! on Bouce-O-gon. Yes this crazy map again, but with 16 people. Slayer with random starting weapons. Chaos ensued.
Guess who took this game? Yeah, that's right, I won a game for once.
8. Aerial CTF on Aerial v2 by Midnight. One flag CTF where the team on the offensive had to fight a sort of uphill battle and manage to get the flag back down to the bottom of the map. Also, we had jetpacks. It was actually pretty hard, but very fun.
Blue Team took the cake, even though my team was very close to making it a tie.
We were so close!
Number 9. Slayer on Vendette by Postmortem. A "V" shaped map with a center area where lots of action took place and catwalks and ramps and....
Wait....ghosts?!
Loftus was happy with his rocket launcher.
I don't even know anymore...
Apparently Postmortem is a dancer-ninja hybrid or something.
Double digits! Game 10. Avalanche on Avalanche 2 by Chris101b. All I can say is...oh good god, what was that? From what I was able to gather the goal was to survive and in doing so you scored points...someone please clarify.
All of a sudden....golf balls.
This looked painful....
The game ended in confusion....Time for Game 11! Sharks on Shark Tank by BlueRunner. Humans had grenade launchers and shotguns. The zombies or "sharks" had to jump up and try to infect the Humans that were just above the water.
Plasma batteries just underneath the ramps made it a little easier for Humans to kill the zombies.
12! So many! Infestation: UNSC Armory on Infestation:UNSC Armory by Halo Man. An Invasion/ Infection hybrid type of game with Humans on the offensive.
My favorite shot from the night.
Game 13, the last on my list, but not the final for the night. Propain on Clean Killing Propane by Vorked Manback. An Infection game where the zombies had to shoot propane tanks into the area where the Humans were to infect them. It was rather interesting because there was all kinds of stuff falling and...lots of explosions.
At one point we tried throwing grenades over the barrier, they all bounced back at us....
Well, that's all for this week's write-up. Sorry it's such an abrupt ending but this is long enough, I took over 77 screenshots and a video that's over 5 minutes long.
However, I leave you with this image and of course, a video with highlights from the evening.
