The MM Maps/Gametypes Repository Project is a go!

http://ftzulu.com/matchmaking/

I've talked about starting this for like 3 months now.. and finally figured a pretty good method for getting two gamertags their own Bungie Pro, so now it has been done!

I've created two gamertags, ReachMMVariants and Reach MM Maps to be permanent fileshares that hold the latest updated versions and newest gametypes that can be found in Reach matchmaking.

The site is ugly and just has two embedded Google Spreadsheets at the moment, but it will be made to look like an actual site over the weekend. Of note is that I have set up an RSS feed that you can subscribe to and be instantly notified when the latest updates have been collected and uploaded.

ReachMMVariants
The goal of this repository is to hold the latest updated variants of most matchmaking gametypes. In order of priority:

1) Unique gametypes that did not ship with the game (Hog Potato, Speedpile, etc)
2) Updated base gametypes with new features (KotH Move in Order, Super Shields, etc)
3) Variants of base gametypes that you can make already (Dino Blasters, BOOM!Ball, etc)

Certain gametypes like Dino Blasters and so on may be deleted in the future to accomodate any new unique gametypes, but are included at the moment to fill out the file share and get the new gametypes quickly into people's hands. When the RSS feed updates, you will be told which ones were deleted and added.

Reach MM Maps
The goal of this repository is to hold the latest updated variants of most matchmaking maps.
In order of priority:

1) The latest MM variants of all base maps (DLC and disc)
2) Alternate versions of base maps (Unanchored, Uncaged, etc)
3) Playlist-specific versions of base maps (SWAT for example)

The final version of the website will also show Community Maps but those will link to the maps in the original author's fileshare directly, so no need to copy them to these repositories.

What about Firefight?

I know it's somewhat ironic with FTZ's focus on Firefight, but I currently have no plans to start and maintain a repository of all the MM Firefight variants. I figure at the moment that:

1) They're the easiest to grab and save due to low party size and Score Attack
2) Since all of them are creatable by players with the shipping options, players can re-create them on their own if push comes to shove

But if people like the existing repository project enough, I'll make a FF MM Gametype repository too!

Note

Since I don't want to waste time figuring out when each map was actually updated before the May update, every map and gametype will start as May 3rd/5th as the "epoch" for the most recent version date. Before someone asks.
