In Response To: Re: smacking down bit by bit (Hethal) I'll be honest. I bought into all the promises that Bungie marketing gave us. That was VERY stupid ... but they did say "It would be seemless", "Freedom", "Go wherever you want", "No loading screens." So don't pretend that I'm pulling this stuff out of me arse. The point I was trying to make, is that since the game was announced, it has been changed from a "world" concept to a level by level concept. I mean, look at the first two missions. First mission: You're on an island beach between mountain and ocean. Second mission: You're in a canyon. (note: they may have changed this ... I saw this on e3 2001 footage). It seems very linear instead of exploratory. Ummm ... I wasn't encouraging JJ to come and discuss the game. But it would be nice to actually hear him say "Hey guys, this is what's up with Bungie ..." every couple of months or something. The rest of my first post was mostly just whining, so you can stop flaming it to death. Why do you guys take so much offense to negative opinions?
