In Response To: Madan`s ramblings (semi-long) (Telcantor) : People claim that when the driver is dead the vehicle will explode also, and
This is the only portion I'm quoting, as I deal with this first. I'll contradict more of what you say as I continue. Without a driver, vehicle damage applies. Once enough damage has been put into it, it explodes and is rendered useless until it respawns. HOWEVER: The damage it takes when a driver in it is not cosmetic. Also, the does not always vehicle explode if the driver dies. Examples? Driver death does not destroy vehicle: Take a shotgun and get someone in a Warthog. Shoot the driver. Hey, you just pulled a Grand Theft Auto. Lack of driver destroys vehicle: Take a shotgun and shoot the Warthog in the hood two or three times, four if needed. The warthog will explode. Shoot the turret a total of twelve times (more/less depending on damage settings, may not actually be twelve) and the Warthog will be destroyed. Shoot the tires twice and BOOM. The broken glass area counts as the hood, but add one for the shot to break the glass. Vehicle is heavily damaged with a driver: Shotgun the driver and take a few steps back. That thing is going to blow. As far as color-coding damage zones... I'd do it and make tables. | |
