A few points

First, for anyone who's still unsure--I was at the Bungie booth today, and there's definitely a harpoon gun. I saw an underwater movie (I don't know if you BTV-watching guys did or not) in slo-mo and the harpoon was clearly visible speeding away Second, the covenant's big hand-held energy cannon (the one used to blast away at the hijacked grndsprtcrft in the trailer) appears to fire self-propelled shots. They move a short distance from the weapon, then suddenly pick up speed and start producing that glowing contrail. Third, didn't you guys see the new alien? The yellow guy with the pointy shell? I didn't see any discussion of it. Fourth, I can't provide footage of any of the previous three. Doug very politely asked me not to film the monitor. Sorry :) Fifth, for anyone who cares, the escape velocity of the Halo is approximately 20,000 mph. Earth's escape velocity, by contrast, is about 17,500 mph. This implies two things. (A), firing missiles across the Halo would be considerably more difficult and energy-costly than firing ballistic missiles from one side of the Earth to the other. (B), the Marines' crashlanding on the Halo was even more painful than we previously thought. :) --SiliconDream
