: Some interesting figures there Max. I suspect that most of the 9,000 are
: bungie.net users who registered prior to the MS acquisition. There has
: been a lot of fracturing of the original Bungie fan base since then. The
: MS buyout itself, the selling off of Myth and to a lesser extent Oni, the
: Halo for Xbox first announcement (still no Halo for Mac and PC users), the
: staggered worldwide Xbox release (still no Halo for us Europeans and many
: others). Of course you know all this yourself. It'll take time to recover
: but no doubt Bungie will.
All of those issues are big ones, though I don't think any are as big as the simple fact that we don't have a recent online game related to the site (there's my vague idea, btw). That's actually 10,000 since the November launch, we wiped all of our old user accounts and started anew with Halo's launch. I'm curious how big a factor the staggered launch is. I've been intentionally keeping chapters outside the US that have no activity alive, figuring they'll pick up once they have Xboxes.
