Yeah so it's a day late :P
I won't comment on the main puzzle as enough has already beeen said on that subject :P This time I failed to get the puzzle perfect after three tries, said "To hell with it", and grenade hopped. This level defines the category of implausible design. Jason Jones must die mb.
This level also seems a bit pointless... No objective, no mission, not even very interesting architecture. Filler? Perhaps Durandal is trying to think of something to do with us? Lookers and Wasps are the primary enemy, monsters that seem almost filler themselves as they don't fit into the story or the rest of the aliens very well. Bungie has elsewhere been heard to say that during M1's level design process they were afraid the game would turn out too short.
The level is redeemed somewhat by the terminals. Durandal philosophizes, expounding on time and purposes, and gives some veiled hints about his plans and our future. The last terminal ends with the memorable line "Escape will make me God."
