	In Response To: The halo book is, like, a ripoff (Vid Boi) : Did anyone here notice that the Halo book has the exact same story outline as : the TV show Dark Angel? Ummmm, actually, No. there are quite a lot of differences. 1. Dark Angel: the 'troops' (bar-code kids) were genetically engeneered from before birth. Halo: the 'troops' (Spartans) underwent massive surgeries and body alterations. No genetic alterations. 2. D.A.: all the troops have genetic defects from poor engeneering. (I hope I'm spelling that right.) Halo: only a portion of the troops died or were disfigured from the alterations. Most were improved beyond what they should have been, w/o defects. 3. D.A.: many troops escaped and are trying to hide from the government. Halo: the troops are the most loyal soldiers in the entire army. 4. D.A.: there were precursors to the current troops with more pronounced animalistic features. Halo: No precursor troops. You could argue about precursor Mjolnir armor, but those (armor the troops wear and troops themselves) are very different things. 5. D.A.: there are still other troops left. Halo: with the possible exception of the badly wounded girl Spartan (it said that it was still possible to save her in the book, with the proper treatment) there is only the Master Cheif left. (please don't tell me if she does die, I havn't played the game yet.) Please, if you can think of more differences, add them.
