	In Response To: Re: Oops (Jeff Nosanov) : I think its really cool that we are all trying to explain scientificaly or at : least pseudo-scientifically something that I think we all realize is just : a save game feature. Its certainly interesting reading though! We're just following in the footsteps of Bungie ;-) . As someone else said, Bungie at least makes the attempt to integrate game saving with game play using a plausable, though flawed scientific explanation. Bungie has done an outstanding job with the Marathon trilogy to write plausable science fiction. IMO that's one of the reasons that Marathon endures. It's a bit like Star Trek and Star Wars in this regard - it seems very plausable, even though we all know that FTL travel and teleportation have no scientific merrit unless we are willing to toss some fundamentals of relativity to the wind. Marathon allows us to live a life that's the stuff of dreams - its no wonder that we want to sterngthen its ties to reality by applying scientific explanations wherever we can.
