	In Response To: Re: Help with Schmackle (Steve Levinson) Patch to enable the non-working pattern buffer on Schmackle: You'll need a hex editor of some sort - I use a freeware utility called HexEdit, I think Norton Utilities includes one. Open the Cursed Map file in the hex editor, and verify that the file length is 5F5F7B - I don't know if there was more than one version of Evil released. You'll want to change the byte at position 4EABE1 from 00 to 02. The next four bytes (to verify that you have the right spot, or to search for if you don't have the same map version I do) will be 02 32 FE 02. Disclaimers: 1. Make a copy of the map file before trying this. A botched patch could easily render Evil unplayable. 2. I do not know if this change reflects the intentions of Evil's creators. Jason Harper
