What always bothered me about the Death Star in Star Wars is that something that big would have it's own gravitational field. The Marathon should have an inward gravitational field but, obviously they have developed artificial gravity to keep everything as it should be. It's amazing, though, that players can turn in mid air - maybe that's a quirk of artificial gravity ;-) . That'd be a great explanation, were it not for the same physics planetside in M2/oo. Yes, the Marathon is an insane colony ship with no logic to its design. But it does make for a great game ;-) . : What I want to know is how several square miles of flowing molten metal
I guess the Evil team wondered about that, too, as there is a terminal in Evil that goes to great lengths to explain the use of lava and plasma for power generation. Isn't it amazing how real the Marathon universe has become to us all? I mean, look at us, spending hours discussing the intricacies of a world developed solely for game play. Such is the genious of Bungie. |
