	In Response To: Why the Covenant want to kill us. (moopus) : It's just a thought. Damm good one though. It also makes me wonder what exactly the Covenants relationship with the forerunners is. It seems likely that the Covenant are using at least some Forerunner technology. But are we talking a Phor style nick all there stuff now their gone thing, or an abandoned retainer (as in the S'pht) situation? I don't like to jump the gun but I seem to remember the S'pht clans actually seeming quite fanatical, while all the Phor had was there "Astronomically boring religion" (poor quoting I know). - I guess religion becomes more relevant when you actually used to live with your gods. Just an interesting point to consider, if as some have suggested Halo is a re-exploration of some of the themes in the Marathon story. NB; This is all just Saturday morning speculation.
